What do you get when you put some of Australia's biggest personalities in a dragon boat for Chinese New Year? Probably one of the funniest spectacles to grace Darling Harbour.
WATCH THE TEAM TRAINING!
Dragon Boat racing has had a special place in Chinese culture for more than 2000 years, with 12-metre long boats battling it out to the pounding of drums. The Dragon Boat Festival is an iconic event in the Chinese New Year celebrations calendar.
This year will be even more memorable, as some of Australia’s biggest personalities join Prof Charlie Teo to compete in the Dragon Boat race.
Now, most of this motley crew have never been near a dragon boat before so we’re not expecting them to win the race! But it will be a spectacle not to miss, as they attempt to avoid going in circles, falling overboard and generally just try to stay afloat!
By sponsoring Team Cure Brain Cancer, you’ll be helping this band of merry paddlers win an even greater race: funding world-class research to find new treatments for brain cancer, faster.
