In 2012, Ben McCracken was diagnosed with a grade 2 oligoastrocytoma. Ben was a champion of the CBC Foundation in Perth, raising over $100k for research in the annual HBF Run for a Reason. During his battle to survive, Ben had 35 rounds of radiation, 17 of chemo, underwent a risky clinical trial and had 4 brain surgeries. Devastatingly, Ben passed away in Dec 2015.
The inaugural Paper Crane Gala Ball is our little way to give a person with brain cancer a greater chance at a future.
