Fundraise for Us

Our fundraisers are at the heart of the Cure Brain Cancer community and are integral to helping us achieve our mission: to increase five-year survival to 50% within 10 years.

Our fundraisers are essential for raising funds, increasing awareness, and growing our community. There are many ways to fundraise for us. You can join a major fundraiser or organise one of your own - see how below. Whatever you decide to do, we are here to help.

You can also have a browse through current fundraisers to get some ideas, or sponsor a fundraiser.

Set up a fundraising page

You can fundraise in any way you'd like. It could be a personal challenge, and you get friends and family to sponsor you, or a celebration you’ve turned into a fundraiser, where you ask your guests to donate in lieu of gifts.

Setting up the page here rather than a third party fundraising website means Cure Brain Cancer gets 100% of the funds (none are lost to commission).

If you don't want to do it alone, you can create a team, or join an existing team

If you need help setting up a fundraising page, check out our step-by-step guide here

Start Fundraising
You can set up a fundraising page to raise funds for Cure Brain Cancer. You will be asked to login, or register if you do not yet have an account with Cure Brain Cancer. This will allow you to return later to view or update your fundraising page.

Join a major fundraiser

Cure Brain Cancer is a registered charity for major events across Australia, such as Run Melbourne and City2Surf. Whether you’d like to run, cycle, swim or trek , there are many opportunities to fundraise for us. If you’d like to take part in one of these events, simply register, select Cure Brain Cancer as your charity, and get fundraising! You can see a full list of fundraising events we are involved in here.

Cure Brain Cancer runs several events of its own annually, in which you can participate and fundraise on our behalf, such as our Walk4BrainCancer event in November. You can either fundraise on your own, or create or join a team (and in the case of Walk4BrainCancer even create your own walk). You can see a full list of Cure Brain Cancer’s events here.

Organise a fundraising event

Holding your own event is a rewarding experience. You can be creative, get your family, friends and community involved, and show everyone you care about brain cancer research. Organise a walk, lunch, raffle or hold a Mufti Day or Beanies for Brain Cancer Day at your school or workplace. Turn a party into a fundraiser or go out on a limb and try something completely different.

Whatever you decide to do, we are here to help make your fundraiser a success. Get advice on planning, raising money, and promoting your fundraising event with our fundraising kit which you can download here

If you would prefer to take on a personal challenge rather than organise an event, to help raise funds for brain cancer, be that cycling solo, giving something up, climbing a mountain or selling cupcakes at school, we would also love to hear from you.

If you are interested in organising a fundraiser and would like to know more, please email our Community Fundraising coordinator at events@curebraincancer.org.au and we will get back to you with information or suggestions, or call our fundraising team on 1300 362 965.

If you have already decided on the details of your fundraiser, and planning is underway, then complete the application form and we will make contact shortly to help with the process and add your event to our online calendar.

Get inspired

You can climb, grow, shave, sell, raffle, quit, bake or sing your way to help cure brain cancer. If you are looking for inspiration, have a look at some of the current community fundraising events being organised, and read some of our fundraisers’ stories.
