This HeadSmart Decision Support Tool advises how to manage a child or young adult presenting with various symptoms, in relation to exploring the possibility of a brain tumour. This is based on the RCPCH, NICE-accredited Diagnosis of Brain Tumours in Children guidelines.

All people with brain cancer, especially those with high-grade glioma, should seek advice from a neurologist, oncologist, and neurosurgeon capable of performing ongoing care and are affiliated with a multidisciplinary team with access to the latest research and clinical trials.

The DIPG Collaborative is a global network of more than 30 brain cancer organisations, of which Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is a founding member. In the last five years, The DIPG Collaborative has invested more than $7 million into finding treatments for deadly paediatric brain cancers.

International DIPG Registry 


 
The International DIPG Registry was created to provide a database of demographic, clinical, radiologic, and pathologic data, as well as a bioinformatics repository of molecular data of DIPG patients across the world.

 

The long-term objective of this registry is to establish and maintain a hypothesis-driven research infrastructure that will support a wide spectrum of interdisciplinary and translational projects to study DIPG. Data collected will form a research continuum from basic biology to clinical practice that will ultimately address our primary goals to accomplish improved understanding of the biology of DIPG, development of more effective targeted therapies, development of novel approaches for the uniform diagnosis, classification, response assessment, multidisciplinary treatment and follow-up that will improve survival and care of patients with DIPG.
