Andrew Giles
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Andrew has a proven track record in leading growth and transformation across the not-for-profit sector. Before joining Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, he served as CEO of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and the Garvan Research Foundation, guiding both from small, state-based operations to internationally recognised organisations.
With leadership experience spanning arts, health, education, research and sport, Andrew also serves as a Director of Research Australia and the Fundraising Institute of Australia.
Passionate about strengthening the for-purpose sector, he is dedicated to advancing Cure Brain Cancer Foundation’s mission: funding world-class research, raising awareness, and providing vital support to those affected by brain cancer.

Wil Honner
Board Chair
Wil has over 20 years’ experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Australia and the UK and specialises in partnering with management and key stakeholders to rapidly improve cash and profitability or to navigate significant change.
He brings significant expertise in assessing the causes of underperformance, particularly in identifying effective strategies and working with the people needed to make sure implementation is effective.
Morag Home
Morag is a senior banker with over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services across wide areas of banking and finance, including Debt Capital Markets, Treasury and Finance.
She has a strong background in debt structuring/origination, balance sheet, funding and capital management. Morag is currently Executive General Manager, Capital Structuring, Institutional Banking & Markets at Commonwealth Bank and prior to this was Executive Director, Head of Capital at Macquarie Group
Prof. Brandon Wainwright AM
Brandon Wainwright is Director of the Children’s Brain Cancer Centre at the Frazer Institute, The University of Queensland. From 2005 until 2019 he was Director of the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland, a leading medical research institute with over 600 staff and graduate students.
His research group discovered the first gene known to cause brain tumours in adults or children, leading to the development of drugs now in clinical trials for children with medulloblastoma. Beyond research, Brandon has held prominent roles with the National Health and Medical Research Council, the Medical Research Future Fund, and as Scientific Director of a Co-operative Research Centre.
He currently chairs the Board of the South Australian immunogenomics Cancer Institute (SAiGENCI) and serves on several other not-for-profit boards, contributing his expertise to advancing cancer research and care.
