Via our contribution to the DIPG Collaborative, Cure Brain Cancer Foundation is helping to fund Dr Dun’s study of a drug called ‘paxalisib’.
It’s well known that this cancer-killing drug can cross the tricky blood-brain-barrier, and it’s hoped, in it will inhibit the way proteins communicate with cancer cells in the brain, inhibiting tumour growth.
Data from the pilot study, which has led to our backing of
this project, shows a death rate of 88% against Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG)
cells in lab models.
