Find what you need to know about donating, getting involved, and how you can help fund vital research for children and adults impacted by brain cancer. If you can’t find the answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

General questions

There are many ways you can donate to support vital brain cancer research and support services. Options include:

If you’re under 18, you can take part in Walk4BrainCancer with a parent or guardian, or you can set up a fundraising page or participate in a sporting event with their permission.

We’re proud to work with a community of amazing volunteers – and we’d love you to join us.

Volunteering opportunities include helping us at the Walk4BrainCancer and other sporting events across the country. You and your colleagues can also volunteer your time through our corporate volunteering program.

Questions about donating

Your generosity helps to drive vital research, strengthen advocacy, and support people living with brain cancer. You also help us build stronger collaborations and invest in projects that accelerate progress towards a cure. Yes, donations over $2 are tax-deductible in Australia.

We welcome donations made over the phone, Please call us on 02 8973 1400, we’d love to hear from you.

All donations of $2 or more will be issued with a tax-deductible receipt.

Here’s how and when you’ll receive yours:

One-off online donations:
Your receipt is emailed instantly to the address you provide.

Offline donations:
A printed receipt is posted to you within 5–7 business days.

Questions about regular giving

Regular giving is when you choose to make a tax deductable donation on an ongoing basis – usually monthly.

It’s automatic, easy, and convenient. It’s a powerful way to accelerate better outcomes for people impacted by brain cancer.

When you sign up to be a Cure Brain Cancer Foundation regular giver, you become an Accelerator and you join a wonderful community determined to accelerate research, increase survival rates, and give more people more time with the people they love.

By choosing to give regularly, you create powerful, ongoing support – even small monthly gifts add up to big change.

Regular giving provides us with stable, predictable funding needed to plan ahead, accelerate research, and invest in long-term solutions.

Regular giving is one of the most effective and efficient ways to help, allowing more of your generosity to go directly towards vital research, advocacy, and support. It’s also incredibly convenient for you and you become a part of a motivated community of people determined to change the future of brain cancer, one month at a time.

To update your contact details, financial information, communications preferences or to make changes to your regular donations, please call 02 8973 1400. You are also welcome to email us info@curebraincancer.org.au and we can arrange a call at a time that’s most convenient for you. 

At the end of each financial year, we will send you your tax receipt via email (usually in mid-July). This will include all your regular donations for that financial year.

Please ensure your details are up to date, and if you don’t have an email address, we can send your tax receipt via the post.

Questions about Gifts in Wills

A gift in Will, also known as a bequest or legacy, is simply a gift you leave to a charity in your Will. It’s a meaningful way to leave a legacy for future generations.

To make a gift in your Will, you may work with your solicitor or use a free Will-writing service. You will simply need our organisation’s name and ABN (22 121 906 036) to get started.
