Born in Scotland, son of John Macintyre a musician and Isabelle Johnston, Walter Macintyre migrated to Australia with his wife Martha and 2 children, Lorna and Stuart.
Walter lived a life to its fullest. He had a gift for making people laugh with his sharp wit and sense of humor. Diagnosed with a Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), Walter took his diagnosis with dignity and integrity. Making his family at ease and telling them every day how much he loved them, singing songs until the day he passed (3 weeks later) at the Apollo Bay hospital surrounded by his family saying their final goodbye.
This page is his tribute is in his honor, in the hope that one day we may find a cure for this disease.
